Councyl makes
decision support possible for your organisation

AI technology speeds-up and improves decision making. Until now this wasn’t straight-forward, however  Councyl introduces a scientifically proven innovation that is not dependent on Big-Data and produces fully transparent results. This makes self learning decision support possible for any organisation, including yours. Welcome to Councyl.

What is Decision Support?

As the internal and external pressure on organisations to perform continues to increase, it is not always possible to find a few colleagues to discuss or you don’t always have the time to think quietly. That is why an increasing number of technological tools are being used to support human decisions.

A decision support system is a software that supports trade-offs, judgement and actions within an organisation. In the past one needed to capture explicit knowledge in manually written decision rules. Since the availability of Big-Data one tries to find decision patterns through analysis or machine learning. Both of these approaches have their advantages as well as their disadvantages.

Councyl has a very different approach: Councyl doesn’t work with Big Data, but with Expert Data

Councyl works with Expert Data

A Councyl is a self learning decision support system that can predict what experts will decide on specific repetitive decision. This prediction is based on the anonymised knowledge of your own domain experts. Through a choice-experiment we accurately model the expert trade-offs using their choice behavior. The result is a transparent representation of how your experts make decisions.

The ingenious Councyl software creates a self learning decision support system in 4 simple steps:

1. Questionnaire

A group of experts from your organisation are asked to make a decision on a set of carefully generated fictional but realistic scenarios.

2. Modelling

The Councyl software distills the implicit trade-offs out of the experts answers. These trade-offs and their underlying relations are made explicit through an econometric model.

3. Validating

The model is presented in an insightful introspective report. to check if the result matches your intuition and validate the accuracy using test data.

4. Applying

The model can be used directly through our online user interface or API. The system continues to learn from the choices that the expert makes in practice.
